Non Refundable Deposit Policy
At Fresh Start Roadside Assistance Inc. / 833 TOW-DUDE, every service call requires time, fuel, and staffing. To protect that investment and keep our pricing fair for all customers, we enforce the following deposit and GOA policy.
1. Non-Refundable Deposit
- All service calls require a non-refundable deposit at the time of booking.
- Once a truck has been dispatched, the deposit is earned and non-refundable, whether or not the final service is completed.
2. GOA (Gone On Arrival) Fee – Up to 50%
A GOA (Gone On Arrival) fee of up to 50% of the quoted service amount will be charged in situations where our technician is dispatched but cannot complete the job due to reasons outside of our control, including but not limited to:
- Incorrect or incomplete information provided at the time of booking
(for example: being told a usable spare tire is available when it is not). - The customer cancels after a truck has already been dispatched.
- A Good Samaritan, friend, or another company completes the service before our arrival.
- The customer decides to perform the service themselves upon our arrival or after we are already en route.
In these cases, our technician has already invested travel time, effort, and fuel, and those costs must be covered by the GOA fee and/or deposit.
3. Spare Tire & Service Recommendations
When you request a tire-related service, we rely on the information you provide.
- If you confirm that you have a usable spare tire, we dispatch for a tire change.
- If we are informed no spare is available, we may recommend a tow or refer you to a provider who can supply and mount a replacement tire on the spot.
If we dispatch based on incorrect information (such as a spare that is missing, damaged, or not usable), the job may become a GOA situation and the non-refundable deposit / GOA fee will still apply.
4. Why This Policy Exists
Dispatching a truck is not free. Even if the final repair doesn’t happen, we still pay for:
- Driver/technician time
- Fuel and vehicle wear
- Scheduling and dispatch overhead
This policy ensures we can continue offering fast, reliable roadside service while keeping our rates competitive for all customers.
